recently I happened to made a C 6416 PCB board myself.and I bought seed-XDSUSB2.0 emulator to connect to my PCB board to start emulations.but unfortunatelty ,when I start CCS,the emulator cannot connect to the CPU on the board after I had installed all the software and drivers necessarily needed.It shows the error NO.<- 1153>,tell me that the address 0x00000000 kept indicating "Not Ready",and advice me to reset the CPU.and I reset the CPU several times before starting CCS,it doesn't work either. Now I am disconsolate about it so much.I wanted to know is there anyone who ever emulated C6416? and is there anyone who can tell me under what exactly conditions that can make the emulator connecting to the board succesfully.(like how the JTAG interface be connected and are there any pin of the 6416 should be configed before start CCS?) thanks alot!! |

I believe the seed-XDSUSB2.0 emulator works with TI CCS2.x supported
devices.
1. Have you used the emulator with any other boards??
2. I believe that this emulator uses standard TI emulation drivers.
Make sure that you select the c64x driver that matches your silicon [the two
drivers support c64x v1.0x and 'v1.1 and newer'.
3. Run the TI xdsprobe utility to verify scan chain connections. In
/ti/cc/bin dir from a DOS prompt [replace "<xx>" with actual values:
xdsprobe -i -p <seed-emulator-address> -f
<path_and_name_of_seed_cfg_file>
