Dear respected group memeber,
I bought a new C6711 DSK board.I want to take care of this baoard
properly.How?
1.Should i put my DSK board in the table when i am coding on it or i should
put above the antistatic bag?
2. The same day suppose after 4 hours i finsh my work may be after that i
will work again. Should i place it like this or need to open the connection and
put inside the antistaic bag?And than inside the box?
Because for me if it is not working problem to get new one.
Could you please give me some guidelines.
Best regards

Daniel, If you want to take proper care of your board then you should place it on a properly grounded antistatic mat. Wear a wrist strap that is also grounded. This is the best way in which you handle ESD (electrostatic discharge) sensitive devices. To the bare minimum I would recommend that before touching the DSP kit you ground yourself ( by touching a metal door frame or touching the chasis of your comp or touching anything that will discharge your charge ) It is tough to answer your question and it depends how much risk you wanna take .. I didnt use electro-static mat or anything just grounded myself so that I dont have charge .. but then again it just depends on you where you want to draw that line. :-) I dont think this email helped u but then its just a pointer to bare minimum..
