CACHE in 6713

Started by balasubramanian vaidhyanathan December 21, 2005
Hi all

I wanted all data in the internal memory and moved
the .text section and .data section to SDRAM which in
CE0 space. Now when i declared a global buffer it got
alloted in SDRAM area. My L2 memory configuration is
192K-internal memory and 64-cache. Now coming to the
issue, I was trying to EDMA with this SDRAM memory
location as the source buffer and it would copy some
junk data to the destination. So for the moment i just
commented the CACHE_enablecaching(CACHE_CE0) part and
I am wondering if this is fine. My program is in
SDRAM. if for the moment i am not worried of speed is
it ok to work out of SDRAM with the .text section
being there and still able to run my code?.

regards
bala

hi,

i am not an expert in this cache stuff..
anyway,refer the example project
<csl_installed
folder>\sprc090\examples\dsk6713\csl\edma\edma1\edma1.pjt

see whether this is working correctly for u..
compare the sequence of cache csl functions in this
sample pgm to yours..
also compare the cmd file of this project and yours..
