Testing video port on custom board with DM642

Started by gimm...@yahoo.co.uk April 17, 2006
Hello Everyone,

I am working with a custom design using the DM642. It does not have an ethernet port, so I cannot run the examples provided for the EVMDM642 to verify operation of the peripherals. I'm working on video port and McASP operation now.

CCS includes an 'mpeg2loopback_dm642' project. With this project I want to change the capture port to VP2 and monitor some register, variable etc. to verify successful operation of the video port....please let me know if you have any suggestions on how this can be done.

Also, I'm having a problem installing CCS to completion. At the very end of the install process the following message pops up

Failed to update system registry
Please try using REGEDIT

This seems to have affected the linker in some way. In some projects the necessary libraries are not linked although they are included with the project. If anyone has had similar problems and know of a work around please let me know.

I've installed and re-installed CCS a few times now and I get this message everytime.

Thanks,
Dinesh
