Hello,
I'm new to DSP and am trying to hook up AD/DA converters to a C6713.
Looking through the list of converters under "Data Converter Support" I noticed
that only a few use DMA/EDMA to communicate with the McBSP. Is there any
technical reason for this?
Does anyone have a working configuration for DAC8551 and ADS8327? I'm
thinking of using a setup from another converter that uses EDMA and adjust it to
match my AD/DA converter characteristics.
Thanks for the help,
Kerry

Kerry,
Any AD/DA converter that hooks up to a McBSP correctly can be set up to
use EDMA. All EDMA does is automatically read and write the serial port.
Just like the CPU does, but without requiring CPU intervention - it can
be off doing other processing.
Sounds like you are on the right track using the setup from another
converter.
