Connecting DM648 with XDS510PP+

Started by ketan deshpande January 2, 2008
Hello Everybody,

We have the new EVMDM648 and are trying to connect the JTAG to it.
When we try in SDConfig then we get the following messages

** Emulator Test **
$$ EmuProductName=XDS510PP_PLUS
$$ EmuPortAddr=0x378
$$ EmuPortMode=SPP8
$$ ProductId
$$ ProductVersion
** Emulator Scan Test
-- Found JTAG IR length of 6
-- Found 1 JTAG device(s) in the scan chain
But when we try to connect it using CCS 3.3 then we fail to do so.

I was also wondering if the IR length of 6 is correct for the C64xx+ type of devices? Any guidelines for that?

regards,
-Ketan

IR==6 is correct for 64+ devices [the ones that I have seen].

Make sure that you have CCS and SD updates - even if you ordered the
emulator and EVM at the same time.
I think that you have a software problem - assuming that CCS setup is correct.
