windowed FIR

Is lets say a Hamming window the same for either LPF,BPF or HPF
FIR filter desings? (My guess is it is.)

The window is the same for all filter types.  What differs is the ideal filter 
response to which you apply the window.

Yes, the windows are the same for the different types of filters. It is the impulse response of the ideal filter that varies. Rune
