Question about dereverberation filters

Started by JAKOB ASHTAR April 3, 2006
Hey everybody...

I have a speech signal with too much echo....sounds like the speaker
is talking in a tunnel or something....Is it possible to dereverberate this
signal? If so, how?

Not so easy as it sounds. This depends on whether the impulse response is non-minimum phase. See another thread on this. Tam
Some methods assume linear system, i.e. that the reverberation was
created by a linear system (hopefully a stable one). Then you may such
methods as frequency division etc.
