Interfacing TMS320F28xx with AD73311 codec

Started by Unomano October 26, 2006
Hello all,

I need help on how to interface AD73311 codec with TMS320F28xx through
McBSP.
I've read AD73311.pdf but still can not understand what is a reason to
send every word two times.
If someone has any experience or source code welcome to chat.

tnx

Don't use AD733xx. It is a very lousy but expensive codec. Use any of TLV320AICxxx codecs.

Are you using only one codec or two ? The 73322 is 2x 73311 here you send every command 2 times because the codecs are daisy chained We are using here the 73322 and configuring it is a mess, (but we also have the chip on the PCB yet ;-) Markus Greim
