frequency selective fading for OFDM
Started by ●March 25, 2005
hii all,
I am trying to make a simulation program for OFDM.My
modulation technique is BPSK.after doing the mapping of original to
BPSK signal space, I am taking say N of those symbols and performing
IFFT(I conjugate and append my BPSK data set so as to obtain a real
signal out of the IFFT block). Now my problem goes like this-
1) how do i model a frequency selective slow fading which will
corrupt my signal coming out of IFFT.
2)Do I just need to consider the envelop of the fading model for BPSK
3)if I use say,QPSK, do I need to consider the phase component of the
fading model as well?
please suggest
thanks and regards

Hi Nishchal,
i did the same project in the last mid year
vacation ... i remember that when i made the freuency
selective we made random generation of a sequence with
the same length of the data & add each element in this
array to its equivalent element in the signal .... try
this method ....
