Simulink Rayleigh / Rician channel complex path gains

Started by revtigo December 22, 2008
Hi,

I would like to know if there is any way of reconstructing the input
signal of a rician or rayleigh channel block in simulink, from the
values of the output signal and the data given by the complex path
gains port.

Thanks in advance!

Revtigo,

I would have thought that, although the mean path gains and statistics are known, the instantaneous path gains and phases are by definition random in nature. A channel equaliser can be used to estimate the input data when the input data is known but it will only be an estimate of the input data. Channel equalisation is a vast field on its own.

Regards,

Steve
