Difference b/w array 3dB beam width and array bearing resolution

Can any one kindly explain the difference b/w array beam width (3 dB) and array bearing resolution and what is the relation b/w them?

Hi. At first I thought your text "b/w" stood for "bandwidth" but it turns out it means "between." naumankalia, correct spelling makes it easier for people to read your posts.

While looking at that diagram, imagine if the antenna's main beam width was much more narrow. You can imagine that a more narrow main beam would provide a more accurate estimate of the bearing (direction) of the radar's target.
