The
only commercial tools I know of are Code Warrior, by Metrowerks. I
think an open source tool has been mentioned on this list a few times, but I
don't know how complete it is.

Everyone needs to remember there are more DSPs from Freescale than just
the 56800 Family. CodeWarrior ONLY supports 56800 Family DSPs, NOT the
56300 Family. A free tools set is available for 56300 Family
development called Suite56. It's downloadable from Metrowerks at:
This isn't a full IDE, the assembler, linker, etc. are all command line
tools. However, there is a windows based debugger and simulator
included in the package. It's actually a very powerful tool for the
price.
As for the hardware you can purchase the DSPAUDIOEVMMB1 (motherboard
that supports all 5636x and 5637x Family devices) plus the 56364
daughterboard DSPB364DB1. You can get more information on these tools

I have own hardware with OnCE/JTAG
port and also Tasking v3.5r2 Demo Tools for DSP563xx. It
supports C/C++ Compiler, Assembler and CrossView Pro DSP56xxx
debugger. And we can get maximum 16K size code.
all I want to know is, it is enough to
buy just a DSPCOMMPARALLEL(Parallel
Command Converter) to communicate with Hardware from/to Host(PC) having Tasking
Demo.
Please clarify my doubt abt
this.
