Analog Devices DSPsHi, I'm in the same position: I work for a small company with an open-source mentality that balks at paying thousands of bucks for the VisualDSP toolset. So when we wanted to make a product with a DSP, I chose the ADSP-2181, used the old command-line assembler that came with the EZ-KIT, and made my own debugger that connected through the DSP's IDMA port. The 2181 is a pret...

Hi, I'm currently working upon a project that requires displaying graphics upon a LCD panel. I wish to do this using the ADSP-BF537, AV Extender Board and ITU656 protocol. I'm relatively new to this area, therefore I was wondering if anybody has any relevant example C code to display simple graphics using the above hardware. Regards, dob84

We are starting to use an ADSP 21161N Ez-Kit lite board but we have problems with the execution of the first code examples. We arrive to simulate them correctly but once they are loaded in the target we notice that program counter is increased in a strange way (sometimes it jumps more than one position without an explanation) so some instructions are not executed. What may cause this...

Do these two work together? Background: Needless to say I have a *very* urgent job. I need to provide a DSP solution for high end active speaker equalisation. I have little experience of DSPs, and none concerning this processor or board. I need a very low noise 24/96 ADC/DAC with stereo in and at least one stereo out (although more is better). Ideally I'd like 4 stereo in and 4 stereo out...

I can't seem to find any documentation as to how to reduce the sampling rate. Otherwise ill have to put a hack together where i only store every 6th sample. Can anyone help me with this? regards Kien
