This is a MATLAB code for DCT and DWT Compression. I tried this code with 512X512 TIF image. The DCT part worked fine, but I faced some problems with DWT compression. The output image was just blank. Any help regarding this will be highly appreciated!! inp_image=imread('c:\zenacolor.tif'); inp_imaged=double(inp_image); siz = size(inp_imaged) ; no_row = siz(1) ; no_col = siz(2) ; energ...

Dear all, Does anyone know of any research into the roles of phase and amplitude of frequency domain representations of sound in terms of human perception of timbres. In images, you can take the Fourier transform of two images. You then use the amplitude information from one image, and the phase information from the other. The image that results from the inverse Fourier transform of thi...

I have a small doubt: regarding the spectrum of the signal, if the sequence is real even symmetric seq, then it is enough if we calculate spectrum for 0:N/2. since (N/2+1) to N-1 points are redundnats data points. My doubt is outputs 0 and N/2 will be real and unique, and outputs 1 to N/2-1 will be conjugate symmetric with outputs N-1 to N/2+1. whether mirror image is folded versio...

Hello all, this is the first time to post. I have some sampled s-domain frequency response f of a continuous time system, which represents a time-response h(T_s), h(2 T_s)..., h(N T_s). So what is the frequency response for a mirror-image time response (i.e. h(N T_s) ... h(2 T_s), h(T_s)). I have no idea how to obtain. Is there anybody can help me? Thanks. Leon
