Andrew; Thank you for the very detailed response. It has been helpful. Removing the interrupt modifier in fact seems to have solved one of my mystery problems; my interrupts are no longer vanishing into the weeds. I know that the c64cc_pci.c code I started with didn't have that modifier; it was one of the things I was exploring as I sort this environment out. However, I had totall...

Does anyone know when changes on CLKMODE0 and CLKMODE1 take effect on a 6415 dsp? Are they sampled at power up, reset or are they level triggered signals? If you were to change the inputs while the dsp was running, what would happen in the 250 us settling time reported in the datasheet? I just haven't been able to find much information about the pll. We're working with multiple C6415 board, and we've noticed that when C641x devices are held in Reset, they actually generate more heat than when running. The chips work though, and do what they're supposed to when running (at 720 MHz). This sounds counter-intuitive, and is unlike all the other Texas Inst DSPs we've worked with. Has anyone else encountered

Yes, I have the same problem... reset remains 1. This can only happen when the clock signal is not present... but I have a really good clock on my DM642. So I switch-off-on and hope it works again. Maybe it has to do with an old version of the DM642, because the first batches had problems. > > Another thing I found out: > > I extracted the source of VP_open from the csl6000.src with
